This volume has had more intriguing plot lines so far than the first volume did!
My only major complaint so far is that Joe getting knocked in the head and/or kidnapped is quickly becoming an overused trope for this series and I'm only on book 8.

Book 6 is probably my favorite of the ones I've read so far, it at least has a better plot plus some character development for Tsa'ni. He's probably the most complex side character (at least in the books set near Deep Creek).
