I seem to be in the reading slump that I hit one or twice a year when nothing pleases me. The writing is flat, the conversations are way too expositionary. It reads like a YA novel so far. Gillian Bradshaw has done much finer work in this era. Shall continue for a while in hopes that my mood--or the book--improves.
