The basic premise meant that this was going to be somewhat suitable for the GarbAugust Giallo/Slasher Prompt…but, uh, considering how tame and bloodless I thought this might be, it is overachieving when it comes to gruesomeness, and creepiness. I mean, it’s not The Snowman - 1931, after all - but this is a pretty good slasher book, so far. So Gethryn got mentioned, but will not be appearing.

Reading for the GarbAugust Prompt: Giallo/Slasher. This is a bit of an odd choice, in that it's so early when it comes to the serial killer sub-genre. But unless the synopsis is some grand deception - and allowing for it not being the goriest of its type - this should be interesting, and on point.
