Started reading the gospels and am thoroughly enjoying them. I had originally started reading the Old Testament and easily got through Genesis but found some trouble going forward because of the sheer number of names to remember.
Even if you aren’t a Christian it’s important to read I think just as a historical text. I’ll talk a bit more about my religious “journey” in later posts.

The prophets books are ... skippable. Shorter old testament prophets like Samuel have good stories in them. Job is really good. Ruth & the women books are good. Ecclesiastes is top notch, very unlike other Hebrew writings

Highly recommend literature and history podcast if you want to do a deep dive into any parts of the Bible
