God almighty this is so embarrassing I’m reading this on a train in switzerland and I’ve got tears in my eyes and a lump in my throat and there’s a MAN sitting opposite me 😭 I really didn’t expect those confessions of what happened to be that deep. Dear lord ! (She’s a great author though)

Omg the things you learn from the interactions with the strangers 🥹🥹🥹 heartwarming and beautiful was the chapter about Alice and old Frank. Really love this book

This is my interrailing book so started it yesterday on the Eurostar and reading a bit every time I’m on a train. It’s quite good so far. I like Alfie!! Alice seemed a bit cold hearted but you can’t help but feel for her… especially when you meet her mother! I think this is going to be a lovely wholesome book
