Ummm lauren with bankole is disgusting

This book is making me go into a crisis

The irony of Lauren’s dad calling the thieves greedy yet supporting the neighbors greed just because he believes that they will have his back. Also the fact that Lauren’s dad tells her that she isn’t part of the community really irked me bc kids are an integral part of community! Everything that is being done now is so the kids can benefit from it too!

This book is gonna change my life fr fr I feel it in my bones. Octavia Butler is something else
