...there's the whole Ron situation. She is there for Matthew like a good friend (Jay can't relate). I just can't imagine how draining it must be to organize everything, take care of your friend, and also experience grief yourself because from what I can gather she was kinda close with Ron. AND all that on top of the Raph and Jay situation. Like girl, leave them like you tried everything to help them...

...like you kinda knew something was off but you decided to "ignore it" so you subconsciously start to say to yourself that it is your fault because you could have maybe avoided it if you didn't brush it off. Well, this is how I would personally feel idk about Matthew I'm not good at analysing characters and their feelings.
Now the Leah situation...God what is happening how is she enduring all of that. On one hand..

Matthew feeling happy and breaking out of his monotonous daily life when he reunites with Caleb but the grandad dies on the same night feels like a slap in the face; you go from feeling the best you have in a long time to feeling the worst. Also, the looming fear and worry in the back of his mind he has all throughout the date is lowkey horrible because then you can end up blaming yourself with what ifs...

...Matthew's first crush coming back to town naaah stay strong my man my gay ass would crumble in that situation.

What in the healthy family dynamics has Nathan going on??? That's so unrealistic, right? There's no way a family like that exists right?? (proceeds to cry)
Every time Jay makes an appearance my mood deteriorates like I hope he dies a slow painful death. The ending of Leah's chapter no like I need every man in existence GONE they just ruin everything free my woman...

So many thoughts of the first chapters that I can't squeeze them all here. The important stuff is Leah and Matthew stop stealing my thoughts!!!! and I want to strangle Jay to death, hate his guts dear Leah doesn´t deserve this toxic relationship. Nathan help a bit won't you? How are you aware that your so-called best friend is in a toxic relationship and you're doing absolutely nothing to help her??
