I'm almost done with this book. I wanted to read Bill Bryson's book on his hike of the Appalachian Trail but I'm not sure I could take another literary excursion of the AT right now. Homan often writes eloquently, but for some reason undisclosed, he feels the need to add some off-color language to the narrative. Very much unnecessary.
