Hi Trevor, did you DNF on this one? I'm considering buying it, and was wondering.

Manny recommended it years ago. I got about half way but got sick of having to flick to the back of the book to the glossary. I don't really like Dawkins, I have to admit it, so the smallest effort was more than enough to stop me reading.

I remember liking The Selfish Gene (what little I do remember) but I'd not really liked the style of The God Delusion. It wasn't very academic, I found. It appeared to be a book full of opinion, which I'm not interested in without proof to back it up.

I have a real problem with eugenics. So after I read Biology as Ideology: The Doctrine of DNA I knew I wasn't going to be getting back to this one anytime soon.

Hmm, yes, I understand. Maybe I'll get this from the library sometime, since I'm now curious.
