Classroom management was a real problem for me, but I think I'm mostly in charge of things now. This chapter demonstrated and reminded me of some methods I'd forgotten since the TEFL course. Especially useful was the section showing what can do unintentionally to hinder learning. Now the next chapter seems the most important for me, planning lessons and courses, my personal nightmare ;).

Finished the Lexis chapter now onto grammar then phonology finishing up with tool kits. It's a really good book but I don't think many teachers realistically consider this much for every lesson they plan. It is however helping me organize my courses and giving me a lot of new ideas.

I think I need to stop reading so many books at once, otherwise I'll never finish any! However, this book is pretty good and it's giving me a lot of classroom ideas that I had forgotten about + some new ones. The grammar chapter was especially interesting.

Next chapter finished already it's quite written of course a familiarity with the subject matter makes it really easy to follow. Some new ways (and reminders) of how to assess the students levels and the importance of consistent feedback to and from learners.

Getting practical now. Lots of input on how to prepare activities and a recipe plan for each one. Plus a few example activities that one can use. Chapter 4 is all about the students themselves.

So far so good, it hasn't covered anything new but has described things in an extremely clear way. The real information starts in Chapter 3.
