This book is so well written, that I find myself getting frustrated when I have to put it down. I am highly intrigued by James Clavell’s ability to point out the contrast between both cultures with such nuance, while simultaneously showing the similarities in the deviousness of their individual actions. I look forward to finishing part one, so I can read part two and possibly other installs of the Asia Saga.
