The tone of this book is mostly exciting and suspencefull. Most of the book is about basketball and the Final Four so there is lots of suspence to see who will win. The tone has affected my reading expiernece because waiting to see who wins the Final Four has really kept me on the edge of my seat.

The main character in the book Malcom's sister died. When she died their family got a little tombstone. A few years later when Malcom was being recruited by colleges, a beautiful new stone was put in and no one from their family put it there.
