Why does Violet say “oh shit” every other page

Why does everyone LIE to Violet? They keep all these secrets from her and then get mad when she gets mad. Why do they treat her like a weapon and then still put her in a corner.

I do love the story and I’m loving this book so far, but some of the writing is very childish and it makes me cringe. Xaden literally says “same” during a sex scene after violet says “I need you right now” like 🤢 that’s so cringey
