I think it’s interesting how the strings function as a sort of double entendre. The measure of life but also string theory, in which everyone is somehow connected to each other by a visible string. Erlick’s characters have a connection to another, and they don’t even know it. I find that aspect super interesting and it definitely made the book more intriguing, but I expected more with the plot. Well written
