This book is so in my wheelhouse. The Rise of the Nation State was my college minor, and it required quite a bit of 14th and 15th Century Florence. Library School Training certainly paid homage to the codex. This book just keeps getting better and better for the bibliophile. I expected nothing less of this distinguished author.
