When they were on there way out of the Grand Canyon. The coach was wondering way a funnel cloud appeared in the sky and asked jayson if he had anything to do with it. Jayson said he did not do anything. After he answered Coach hedge found out that Dylan caused the clouds and started to attack Coach Hedge. Dylan hit Jayson's girlfriend and then she went unconcious.

So far in the book jayson was in a bus and he did not know who he was or anyone else.He realized he was holding a girl's hand her name was Piper.Apparently they Were on their way to the Grand Canyon.The teacher does not recognized jayson and why he was there.When they had arrived his GirlfriendPiper was paired with a arrogant kid named Dylan.
