Coming to this book cold, having never read any other works by this author... or her a.k.a. Was attracted by the topic and am enjoying my read very much so far! We are off to an intriguing, well crafted, accessible start... and am not feeling a need to have read the earlier Strike stories to make sense of things; however, may do so anyway, once I've worked my way through this very weighty tome!
