What I like so far about this book as that it's starting to introduce new and younger players. Another specific thing that I like is how Ramp is acting. I like it because he's trying to show that he's older and is more commanding. It shows the younger players how being on varsity is likel

Some events that created conflict in my book is that Matt is being asked to play a different position than what he wants to. He's stuck in between it and one of his coaches is guiding him along by telling him what to do. Another conflict would be Ramp and Chris still continuing to go after each other at practice. At practice they are constantly hitting each other but they both do not seem to be phased.

Some events that happened that created conflict in this book was when Ramp, a captain, was trying to boss around a new player on the football team, Chris. Ramp tries to get him to carry his bags and clean his plates but Chris says that he doesn't want to and he can't boss him around. On the field, Chris makes Ramp look dumb and the coaches don't like that so they make Matt talk to him about it. ¨I'm nobody's b-word.¨

A piece of a dialogue I found interesting is when the main characters says that he's been playing with some of his friends since peewee. What makes this stand out is that everyone is comfortable with each other and know how they're like. This affects the plot of the story because if they weren't as close they probably wouldn't have that team dynamic.

The main character, Matt is a football player aiming for a state title for his senior year with his father pressure on him. He's the team captain and runs whatever workouts he wants his team to do and they listen. Matt is eager to win that state title and possibly obtain a scholarship so he does steroids. Once he's injected with steroids he feels way more confident with himself and he feels as if he's the man.
