Ibn Qayyim رحمه الله concludes that music is the worst of all types of لهو الحديث:

[…] it intoxicates the mind and distracts it from the Qur’ān more so than other things from the various types of baseless falsehood that distract. And it is also dangerous due to the severity in which the people incline towards it and are influenced by it.

Interesting how much all the four Imams disliked music, the most staunch of them being Imam Abu Hanifa, according to this book. He and Imam Shafi’i both say the one who listens to music’s testimony is not accepted, nor can he be a witness! SubhanAllah. Music makes us fools

—that doesn’t state that nightclubs are a breeding ground for Zina. And what nightclub doesn’t have music?

We have completely downplayed the sin of music. Zina! أعوذ بالله. Everyone should stop listening to music if not just for the fear of this HUGE sin
