Lacey This starts with dumbest premise ever. Mason is moving to Washington D.C. to get away from the guy he loves but doesn't love him back. He decides to leave a couple of weeks early so he can take his time and have a sort of mini-vacation along the way and explore the campus when he gets there. He even ends up leaving a couple days earlier than that when he has a fallout with the love interest.

However, the first night of his trip, he stops at a hotel for the night and ends up getting wasted and staying there for four days. When he wakes up, he realizes that his mother has filed a police report back home when she didn't hear from him, and he now has to go back home to get things settled with the police. Because of this, Mason decides there is absolutely no way he can make it to Washington and has to change all of his plans and stay home...

SERIOUSLY??? What about the fact that he originally left 2 and a half weeks early? Surely he can still make the trip and just leave off the extra vacation time he was allowing himself. Not to mention the fact that he could fly out there and just get his boxes shipped to him. Or he could call the college in D.C. and let them know he would a couple of days late... But no, instead the whole story revolves around the fact he has to stay home after all, and I'm guessing that while he's still home he'll end up working things out with the love interest. Seriously, it really pisses me off when authors use illogical circumstances to get their MCs together.
