Ok so I'm conflicted. I'm not a big fantasy reader but the premise of this series intrigued me so I thought I'd branch out! However (again, I'm not used to fantasy novels so maybe this is typical) I feel like the world building in this is really weak? There are certain key parts that seem to contradict another but they also don't get explained enough for me to tell if they do or don't. TLDR: jury's still out for me
