Last update before I write a review but I wanted to leave a note about how it makes sense for Shao Qun and Jian Suiying to be friends 💀. At least JSY became a better person I guess. Also, Li Yu is crazy and did terrible things but at the end I kinda gave up like MC lol... at least MC walks him like a dog now.

A lot has happened... Through the first half of the story I was on ML's side because MC was a creep except ML turns out worse, which I expected but wtf. I admit that on the second half I had more sympathy for MC. The scene that hit me worst was the conversation between MC and his dad in his office, so unfair. Atp I want him to run away from everyone.

Okay. Now I get why I avoided this novel until now. I forgot that I saw comments saying MC wasn't sympathetic, which is a high contrast to other books, I haven't read many where I dislike a MC. This one is creepy as hell and it's making me uncomfortable but I will push through because I want to know how ML turns out just as awful (or worse?). Also, I think I might see an ACTUAL love triangle? I'm intrigued.

Here we go again.. I was missing a scum ML lol. I have avoided this novel because for some reason I am even more scared of this one than her other works, despite the rest of 188 being worst. According to most comments, the grovelling here works and it has China's most beloved 188 couple so I have high expectations.
