These words were used to describe a security camera that already shows the government wants to hide something from the people. Adding on that phrase just intensified how horrible the governments actions are. Another time the government was being trashed was during a "pursuit" (400). A Huffington Post review says "teenager Tally Youngblood is living an unexamined life". However, I disagree because I think that the Specials watch Tally very closely. They observe her in her daily life because they want to find where the Rebellion is going. They want to find The Smoke so they make a deal with Tally that if she locates The Smoke for them, they will turn her into a Pretty. Being a Pretty is a given...
