I feel like so far the book is giving a clear message of conformity the protagonist clearly is dependant on blending in with her surroundings to feel happy however this is contrasted by how her peers view her as unfulfilled siting the hypocrisy of a society that pushes conformity but won’t accept mediocrity. I’m not sure if I like the book so far but I think it will get better soon.
