Henry and I were so much alike--we both wanted very much to please our fathers, to find common ground. Up to that point I had been drawn to Henry for a great number of reasons--his eyes, his smile, his quiet manner. But there was so much more to him than those outward things. I wanted to know everything there was to know about him, including his delicate, complicated feelings toward his father.
