Just finished the first chapter. It's an interesting set up, even if I did find The Hostess a bit grating. Thankfully, she doesn't seem to be the main character, as she's yet to receive a name beyond her title. The ending of the chapter was somewhat reminiscent of Neil Gaiman, which I appreciate.
