(1) So, this opens with a two-parter about Wilma Barbera, who kills her husband Fred to be with her boyfriend Barney. Barney's a spelunker, which I guess makes him a cave man.
- "The Flintstones" references are distractingly obvious and in-your-face.
(2) The art here looks like an early-2000s RPG.
- No matter how much you customize a mod skin, it still looks generic.

(1) So, the last two issues feature a huge twist reveal and an issue-long flashback that seems like a cross between "Reefer Madness" and a 1980s afterschool anti-drug special.
- The twist is unprecedented and feels like it comes out of nowhere.
- The flashback has no subtlety at all. The villain couldn't be more Snidely Whiplash if he tied a woman to railroad tracks.

(1) So far, this whole volume feels like a series of short-lived reunions.
- I won't spoil anything, but familiar faces pop up all of a sudden, chat a bit, and then are summarily dismissed.
- I wouldn't mind this so much if you could actually recognize them. I'm almost certain that Haberlin's just tracing dressed-up 3D models (create-a-characters like in "The Sims").

- Though, strictly speaking, I don't have to read this since it was only released after the buddy-read started. But then, I could have stopped after Volume 1 and still fulfilled the obligation.
