Many of the things I know about; maybe because they're not new or maybe because I've listened to the School of Life just enough. Alain de Botton argues things in a simplistic way that makes the ideas worth less and not accurate enough. He says we have to be hopeless and have smaller expectations of life so we would enjoy things. But that only makes us passive. But we should just have realistic expectations.

Well, when you talk about normal normalities, you can't say that anger toward others is not justified. It's not always about kindness. Anger is just as normal as understanding. And understanding people is not the same as accepting them. Even loving people is not the same as accepting them and not prioritizing yourself and your own health.
