My dad saw Ali beat Leon Spinx in the Superdome in 1978...he described how graceful and stoic he was in the ring...this was Ali past his prime! I look at photos of Ali and it saddens me...but I know pity is the last thing he wants or deserves. To quote Bert Sugar, "He said 'If I hadn't boxed, I'd still be a sign painter in Louisville.' He doesn't regret it. I don't know why we do."
