This is a 800+ philosophy textbook essentially, the quintessential work on existentialism written by one of the leading minds to ever conceive of this field. Similar to myth of Sisyphus this book tackles the concept of being and cognition as a product of individual effort and will. Hoping this one uncovers new layers for me

In the time crunch of residency this textbook of philosophy is a LOT. The basis of being delves deeply into the considerations of perception, defining the aspects of reality that we as people can define, and how this differs from “nothingness”. Lots more to go

This book is a THICK read my word. It took forever to get through the introduction. The first chapter extrapolated between being and the idea of negating. Can something exist if is removed from a consideration. We can still perceive things even when they aren’t there, implying the importance of something like
Human imagination.
