Michelle Keep us posted about what you think! I've read about Amityville over the years. DeFeo is now deceased and the new owner of the house seldom talk to the press and curiosity seekers.


Joseph As far as the murders go, he obviously killed his parents. No one disputes that. I do not believe he killed the kids. That would be Dawn. She didn’t want the responsibility of having to take care of them. She was selfish and wanted what she wanted.

Then, upon seeing what had happened, he fully snapped and shot Dawn for murdering the children.

Some of the things he said in the book, I believe are true. Like when he mentions things about the mafia, and his family’s connections to it. And I do believe he is angry at his father for abusing him and his mother not doing anything to help him.

As far as many of the other mysteries go? I don’t believe he saw or was possessed by a demon. Nor was the house haunted. After the murders, of course there would’ve been bad energy left over. I sure as hell wouldn’t move into or enter the house after that. No thank you.
