Holy. Crap. I am completely astounded right now.. Revenge is so sweet, but so bitter at the same time. I cannot wait to finally finish this book, and reflect upon it in its entirety. Thumbs up though, way up.

Just over 400 pages to go, and things are happening again!! Rooting for Monte Cristo to succeed in all his plans for vengeance. Oh, and that there's some kind of happy ending, seeing as there's so much suffering going on right now, and throughout most of the book.

I'm about ready to break out the Sparknotes... I'm having trouble keeping track of which characters are related to which other characters, and in what ways everyone is acquainted. Plus, Dumas keeps hopping between different plot lines.. I just wanna know what happens already!! This book is so much longer than necessary..

Gonna be slower now that classes are back in session.. Still enjoying the story but getting more confused. Too many characters, and I don't understand why they're all involved. What is the Count planning to do to everyone?!
