Albeit not a religious person, this book is pretty good. It goes into the mind of someone willing to give up their younger days to become a monk. He portrays it very well, and even pokes fun at some of the traditional ways in which religion looks at things. Very interesting.

Really enjoyed restarting this book. My opinion on it is changed slightly. It does a great job and offering a perspective as to why someone would choose monastic life. Also, does a great job at making a connection to religion in a way approachable to someone like myself. (Notably somewhat against religion as an establishment).

No progress yet. Bought and seems interesting. Used to go to masses from this guy when I was young, and he always seemed like a good man with good ideas.
