Enjoying this more than I thought I would from the strange way it started. One thing you can say about Judith Ivory and other HR authors of yore, like Laura Kinsale -- their books had variety in terms of time period, characters, and subject matter. They weren't writing the same old Regency romance every time.

A very odd book so far. The heroine is, from what I've gathered to this point, a widowed Yorkshire sheep farmer and former London con artist/forger. The hero is a viscount with financial troubles and a tragic background, who has lived in Russia and dresses like a character from Anna Karenina. Lots of fur. I'm...intrigued? Puzzled, but intrigued. I have no idea where this is going.
