On Ch 5 of audio. So far, the author has not engaged me in anything but disgust for her selfish, cruel, and revolting behavior. I hope I can make it through to a place in this book where I can have empathy for someone other than her victims. Feels like I’m reading a trite attempt to get sympathy for the pricks of the world by pathologizing their fucked up behavior. Sometimes an asshole is just an asshole.
