In this book, Pretty Little Liars, a girl named Alison, 3 years ago, disappeared after a slumber party with all her girl friends. The girls ran after her and she was gone. After Alison left it was almost as a relief because Alison knows all of there deepest darkest secrets. But the girls spilt up to not be friends but they know Alison is still alive, even though everyone knows she is gone.
