There seems to be a balance of good and bad as you read. Every time a character makes an even semi-decent attempt at goodness, it’s met with an unrivaled act of atrocity. I loved the fight in the shallow lake… but why did the judge take the young boy, play with him and show him some affection, JUST TO MURDER HIM AND TAKE HIS SCALP?
It’s all about money, was it just an escape? That will live with me forever..

The Yuma Indians just FUCKED Glanton. I’m happy about it, he was a psycho path of depressive energy just wasting people and himself. I think Glanton wanted to die when they were outside of El Paso, when he remembered his wife and child and at that point he committed himself to carnage and decided to go out in a blaze.

Getting used to the writing style has been challenging. Minimal punctuation blurs the speech with the descriptiveness. The lack of formal punctuation feels like it keeps me on edge and in delirium like The Kid.
The landscape descriptions are so detailed and often require look ups for the definition but are beautiful. I feel like frames are pained in my mind. Each scene blends together as they move forward.
