Right, so, I might take a little break from this, just to read a novel and some short stories before bringing this to its conclusion.

I just finished the sections 'The World Trade Center Evacuation', and 'Jumping"; obviously these are some of the most intense parts of the book, which is saying something. I knew about Stanley and Brian, plus the Man in the Red Bandana, and the firefighter who died when hit by a jumper. Some of the other quotes from many evacuees are new to me.

Actual audio, or transcripts, were my focus when I took a deep dive into 9/11 material at YouTube, over several years. So - much of this is familiar, in terms of the really dramatic, or gut-wrenching, stuff. But the scope of this book does go well beyond what I was aware of. It is hard to put down, but I’ll stop with the flight out of Sarasota, and leave AA77 for tomorrow.

Around 2020, I went down the 9/11 rabbit hole, and learned a lot that I had not looked into, over the first twenty years since it happened. When the twentieth “anniversary” came, I was actually ready for a break. But then, over the past year or so, I dived in again, and learned even more. This was all tied to YouTube videos; reading this book, might bring things to a close, in terms of my interest. We’ll see.
