5/13 SUPPORTING CHARACTERS: A minor character that supports Ty is Mr. Crenshaw. When Ty is struggling with the death of his father and school, Mr. Crenshaw helps him with his struggle. Mr. Crenshaw is very essential in Ty's life and towards the end of the book, saved Ty from a fire.

4/22 MAKING CONNECTIONS: A connection I made from this book is to my entire life. This book is about Ty who just like me, is a great youth athlete. He has many challenges to get by like injuries or family trouble which is something that I can really relate to.

4/15 INCITING INCIDENT: The inciting incident in this book was that Ty was asked by his uncle to help him cheat in a gambling thing for football. Ty would ask his brother for the injury reports and they eventually got into trouble with the police. They have no choice but to turn in the Mafia people and that gets them into a lot of trouble in their lives.
