April M1 Book Club book. Formals apologies, I do not like this book. I’ve been using book club as a way to explore other genres, but I think this has confirmed my dislike for fantasy. I kind of liked the beginning, but they lost me at the talking rat.

I may try to finish it… but book club friends already gave me the rundown of the plot and my suspicions about the twist were right, so that may never happen
