I used to really dislike King, except for the Gunslinger, which took him FOREVER to finish that series. The only other book I’ve read by King/Bachman was Tommyknockers waaay back in junior high. There must be something to his writing because decades later I can still quote “Late last night and the night before, Tommyknockers, Tommyknockers knocking at my door. I want to go out. Don’t know if I can. ‘Cause I’m so afraid of the Tommyknocker man.” Why that takes up head space, I’ll never know. Perhaps, I should dig further into Bachman/King, now, that I’m older. I saw you reading “Thinner” and it got me thinking. I’ve always been a huge fan of R. McCammon more than King, but I might be missing a lot by skipping his work. Thanks for letting everyone know your reading this!
