Listening to this on audiobook and the narrator is doing a fantastic job with it.
Coming directly into this after reading The Dragonbone Chair had me impressed with the way Tad Williams does his exposition, I was skeptical of the by the way-y explainations of the magic system and it left me a bit cold on m at the start of the novel but the characters and plot have since won me over in a huge way.
