FIVE TYPES OF CONFLICTS: In this book there are many different conflicts. Those conflicts are characters vs technology, character vs character, and character vs society. The main conflict at this moment of the novel is character vs character. Thomas is not having a great time finding friends, and some also have something against him, so Thomas is on his own.

PROTAGONIST: The protagonist of this novel is Thomas. Thomas has dark brown hair, slim but built body, and light/medium skin. He is confused on why he was put in the maze and who sent him there; everyone sees him as the reason all these bad things started happening thinking he has something to do with it. He helps Minho and the gladers figure out what is going on and why they were all sent there.

MAKING CONNECTIONS: Some connections I can make with this novel with another book like " The Hunger Games" is the way their government works. In both books, they are in an arena, like the glade. Both main characters have to survive and find a way out but there are things holding them back. The two novels are similar except in Hunger Games they all know everything and there purpose, while Maze Runner doesn't.

SUPPORTING CHARACTERS: The main helpful minor character in this novel is Chuck. Chuck helped out Thomas in many ways, getting him food, helping him getting to know the place, supporting him, and being his friend. Out of everyone in the glade, Chuck was the most nice to Thomas. He helped the glade as well, building beds, making stuff, all as well as being the youngest out of all the gladers.

Topic :THE 7 STORY ARCHETYPES - The one plot out of the 7 story archetypes that supports my book is "Overcoming the Monster". Thomas, the main character is trapped in a maze and doesn't remember anything but his name. He doesn't know how he got there and who is behind this but he is scared, and wants to find a way to escape. He is very drawn and curious about why he's there, so he finds out on his own.
