This book is terribly written. Obviously a Tolkien clone, but the writing style falls it more than Tolkien's boring histories failed LoTR. Jumps between first and third person narration constantly, which leads to no emotional investment in any of the action parts, or the characters. I want to experience the adventure, not be lectured about it. I'm really hoping this improves, because the TV series looks promising.
