How can you say that God is delimited and say that God is not capable of doing the impossible? Yet you witness in yourself imagination's power over the impossible, though imagination is one of God's creatures.

The realities demand that you will not be present except with yourself. The actual situation is that when you are present through presence with Him who is present, you cannot be present with Him except in keeping with the limits given by your level; hence you have become present with yourself, not Him. For He does not disclose Himself to you except in the measure your level allows so understand this - Ibn Al Arabi

This is not a book to rush through, and I certainly have not. The depth of material requires experiencing it or at least meditating on it as a simple quick read will miss much of the deeper meanings.

A book that one could meditate on - in conjunction with the Qur'an - for a lifetime.

This is a complex book that requires a certain space for self-reflection to allow the concepts to resonate. Yet at the same time, the theme of self-disclosure or unveiling in the discovery of the ONE is replayed from various angles. This reading has been slowed down yet enhanced by my recent move to Amman, Jordan.
