The first half of this was pretty good. If it had been filled in more it could've been a novella, or maybe even a novel, and the plot read like one. But then the author rushed the last half like crazy. Even by short story standards it was bad. The spice was also weird because she was reluctant about everything, but when he takes it farther she has no objection but we also don't see or hear approval. Slow it down..
