This book is so good yet so emotionally and literarily heavy

I’ve been reading this for about a month, which feels much slower than normal for me. But my fiancées mother, who might be the most well read person I know, validated me immensely when she saw me reading this and said only, “One does not read Solzhenitsyn quickly.”

Absolute banger of a novel. Along with Nobel prizes and booker prizes, there should be banger prizes.
