I love what he said on page 49 about bringing out of scripture what is there. Take the word as little children.

Chapter on Jonathan Edwards very interesting. Pg 35 ministers being true to the faith and talking about sin. And no surprise when you purposely put a vaccine in you it can kill you instead of just getting sick naturally. Way back then it was true.

Chapter 3 about Matthew Henry I thought was interesting. Would like to read more of his quotes. I especially liked his commentary and how he said he wanted to explain and apply the Word of God in a language that common people could understand. That is how it should be.He knew how to apply a Bible passage to the truths of daily life.

I did not start at the beginning. I read the Chapter on Alexander White and loved the part where he says there are 2 kinds of reading. Reading on a sofa and reading with a pencil in hand.He urged students to keep a notebook and make entries. I do a lot of my reading like that.
