I haven’t given up reading this, though I’m still struggling through it. It’s difficult to tell the exact reason I’m not totally engrossed in this but it’s possibly to do with not knowing most of the people referenced in it. It’s hard to feel anything about the private thoughts Rickman shares about these people when I have no context for who they are, how they’re perceived in our world today, etc etc.

I don’t think anyone will read this but I wanted to clarify that it’s my own, personal lack of knowledge of actors, producers, directors, etc that makes up the lack of context. I have to google a lot when I’m reading it and that’s just my own shortcoming I guess 🤷♀️
