I just picked up a copy yesterday. How is it?

It’s such a well loved book that I feel a little shame saying that I’m not getting into it much. The writing is good but the overall effect of the book is underwhelming. The dirty limericks are fun and I enjoy the sections where the main character is digging the tunnel under his house, but the rest is just ok. Read it for yourself for sure. I’m probably just not getting some element of the book that everyone else does.
